Cindi Green
Cindi Green entered the field of autism 19 years ago and has remained deeply committed ever since. Her work has taken many forms—teaching preschool-aged children, supervising adult staff, supporting First Nations families through the autism journey, serving as Executive Director of an Autism Community Resource Center, and most recently collaborating with the Mawiw Council to develop an Indigenous Autism Curriculum and Toolkit for Early Childhood Educators. She currently works as an Early Learning Consultant for Inclusion Supports with the department of Early Education and Child Development
Cindi holds a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education (UNB, 2025), and is currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree of Education. Previous formal training includes Early Childhood Education, Human Services Counsellor, Autism Intervention Training, and Non-Profit Leadership. She brings over 31 years of experience working with young children, supporting families, and building community-based programs related to autism.
She created and implemented the Instructional Autism Swim Program in Miramichi, including specialized delivery for First Nations children. Believed to be the first of its kind in Canada, the program has earned a provincial award and international recognition. Cindi also trains autism practioners in drowning prevention knowledge, lifeguards, is a certified instructor of Everyday Behavior Tools, and delivers autism-specific training to First Responders, offering essential insight for emergency situations involving neurodiverse individuals.
Cindi is the sole proprietor of C.G. Autism Swim Training and Consulting Ltd., a micro-business that has twice received the Nova Scotia Community College’s Entrepreneur in the Making Grant, supporting the expansion of her program and tools. In 2025, she received the City of Miramichi Community Service Award for Volunteers, nominated by a parent for her meaningful unpaid support to families—an honour she found deeply humbling.
Cindi lives in Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada, and is a proud single mother of two wonderful adult children.
